NFC (Near Field Communication) Key ring instructions

To use NFC (Near Field Communication) cards, here’s a simple guide for iPhone and Android devices:

What is NFC?

NFC cards are small devices you can program to do tasks when scanned by a smartphone, like opening a website, controlling smart devices, or providing information.

They can be inserted into jewellery, key tags , cards , pet tags and more.

Examples of NFC Card Uses

1. Video or Voice Memorial for Loved Ones:- Program the NFC card with a link to a video or voice recording for a headstone or memorial. When someone scans the card, it takes them directly to the memorial video or audio.

2. Smart Home Control (e.g., Bedtime Routine):- Set up the card to trigger multiple smart devices (like turning on lights and smart plugs) when you scan the card before going to bed or leaving the house. To do this, set up at Automation first ( see Automation below )

3. Medication Reminders:- Program the NFC card to mark a checklist ✔ when you scan it as well as send a reminder alarm to take your next dose of medication each time it’s scanned.

4. Access to NFC-Enabled Smart Locks:- For family members, program the NFC card to unlock a smart lock. When they scan it with their phone, the lock opens.

5. Lost-and-Found Tags: For pets, children, or vulnerable individuals, store important contact information and medical details on an NFC card or keyring. If someone finds them, scanning the NFC tag gives access to the needed information.
