Bells of Ireland - Moluccella laevis
Moluccella laevis, the Bells-of-Ireland, is a summer flowering annual, native to Turkey, Syria and the Caucasus. It is cultivated for its spikes of flowers. In the language of flowers, it represents luck. Long stems covered with bright apple-green, bell-shaped, 2" calyxes centered with tiny, white blooms. Use as a spike or filler flower. Excellent in dried arrangements too. Blooms have a lovely, sour-apple scent. Plant 12 inches apart for taller blooms , or close together for ground cover as soon in photo, and water well.

Germination
If sowing indoors, Place seed on an evenly moist paper towel, fold and place in zip-lock bag, then refrigerate for 2 weeks. Then sow in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 22 degrees germination is in 14-28 days.
OR sow direct late winter while temps are cooler, for spring sprouting
