Lucuma (Pouteria lucuma) x1
Lucuma (Pouteria lucuma) is a subtropical fruit tree native to Peru, known for its unique, sweet flavor and nutritional benefits. The seeds were are selling are pre germinated and ready to pot up.
Pot the pre germinated seed you receive in free draining soil, with the green facing upwards. We recommend using planter bags as these make it easy to transplant without causing the tap root much damage when it’s time. Lucuma grow very fast and dislike being kept in small pots.
Lucuma trees can grow up to 15-20 meters in height and about 10 meters in width. They require full sun and well-drained soil to thrive.
Water the tree regularly, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging. Mulching around the base can help retain moisture and regulate soil temperature. Once established, lucuma trees can bear fruit in a few years. The fruit is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making it a popular superfood. It's commonly used in smoothies, desserts, and as a natural sweetener in various culinary dishes, thanks to its creamy texture and maple-like flavor.

To germinate lucuma seeds, first soak them in water for 24 hours, then plant them in well-draining soil, keeping the soil consistently moist and warm. It may take several weeks for the seeds to sprout.
