Thalictrum delavayi ( meadow rue )
Thalictrum Delavayi commonly known as Chinese Meadow Rue is an upright herbaceous perennial with large, oblong green, divided leaves. Thalictrum Delavayi will bloom pretty lilac, open panicles of flowers with cream stamens creating a beautiful sight in your gardens. Perfect for flower farmers as it adds a wistful quality to bouquets, it's also a lovely addition to any cottage garden. Sow seeds immediately as they require cold weather stratification to thrive.
Germination
Sow seeds outdoors in Autumn OR store in an air tight container in your fridge for 3 months as they require cold weather stratification to germinate. If sowing in trays, keep the seed tray moist in a cold greenhouse or shady corner. These fresh seeds can be very slow to germinate. Do not use any artificial heat in an attempt to germinate them as it may cause them to enter even deeper dormancy.
